Fierce-looking, heavy sjambok carved from hippo hide, with two pointed tails. The tails seem to have been re-worked later to make them thinner. Note the "decoration" near the handle. Some simple symbols followed by an array of carved lines, as if the owner counted something, maybe the number of uses? This sjambok´s history is unfortunately lost. Don´t know if it was for self-defense or punishment.
