Conestoga team whip
Heavy whip with sewn cover, 3ft, with very long thin leather fall, purchased from a Canadian. It is a type of whip that has a problem: the sown edge can break open as it is a weak link and a point of high stress. It was used by conestoga wagon teamsters in the 1800's. This whip was commonly made in Pennsylvania where the Conestoga wagon was first made. This whip, with a short fall, also was used by wagoners in the US civil war.
