In Singapore, these canes are still in use. Singaporean law allows or even made mandatory (depending on offence) caning for almost everything. Remember: these canings are no kind of consensual play - they are the worst kind of abuse, often causing severe damage. A good reason to travel elsewhere when doing an Asia trip.
