Western style quirt
A German whipmaker made this strong western quirt from 16plt latigo leather. The detailed, 2 2/3 ft handle has a fluid, blacksnake-like motion. The slapper is wide and light, intended to draw the horse´s attention by noise rather than impact. As on all good quirts, the slapper is replaceable. Hope this whipmaker will braid singletails one day, at the moment she doesn´t. (01/25/2003)
